Joyful and joy-giving — an artist straight from the heart
About the artist
Idit Lichtenfeld is an actress, director, stand-up comedian, and spoken word artist with a rich professional background that includes studies under Jacques Lecoq in Paris and years of performing with Yoram Buker's pantomime ensemble. About three decades ago she made aliyah to Jerusalem and became observant, an experience that now fuels the most authentic material in her work. Idit performs for haredi, religious, and traditional audiences — women, youth, children, and seniors — bringing laughter, warmth, and genuine connection with no pretense and no masks. Alongside her performances, she writes, leads spoken word workshops, hosts two podcasts, contributes regular columns, and created an original play that received grants from the National Lottery and an independent creators' fund.
