Israel Bar-On is a singer, songwriter and composer, and the winner of season six of "A Star Is Born" (Kokhav Nolad). He grew up in Be'er Sheva in a religious-Zionist home of the 1990s, and has been performing for years at municipal, community and corporate events across Israel. What sets Israel apart begins with a remarkable, moving voice, a natural and distinctive delivery and a striking stage presence — alongside a warm, unguarded personality. He has a gift for conveying emotion without barriers, letting the masks drop for a moment and creating genuine closeness with the audience. His performances weave together well-known Israeli songs, nigunim from home, Carlebach, Bnei Akiva songs, personal stories and communal singing. He doesn't just sing to the audience — he turns everyone in the room into part of the show, creating the feeling of a community singing together. Alongside his live work, Israel has released an album and original songs, and has spent years performing on stages and at events across Israel and in Jewish communities abroad.
